ADRIANNE MUNDEN-DIXON is a New York City-based violinist praised for her “animated and driven” performances (Connect Savannah). As an active performer of new music, Adrianne has recently appeared as a soloist at SPLICE Festival, Roulette, Columbia and Princeton Universities, Mass MoCA and has premiered works by Gemma Peacocke, Peter Kramer, and Finola Merivale. As a member of Desdemona ("an excellent young quartet" The New Yorker) she recently recorded with Grammy-winning vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant and gave the premiere of “Magdalene” as part of Prototype Festival 2020. She is on faculty at the Greenwich House Music School and Larchmont Music Academy where she teaches violin and chamber music. Outside of music, Adrianne is a certified yoga instructor and former competitive surfer.
