Albert Saprykin

Albert Saprykin is a Ukrainian composer born in Kyiv. He studied composition and piano at the Glière Music College and the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, and electronic composition (master's) at the Freiburg Hochschule für Musik, working with composers including Beat Furrer, Peter Eötvös and Georg Friedrich Haas. In 2015 he co-founded Kyiv Contemporary Music Days, a concert and educational platform for new music that he continues to direct, and he has also advocated for Ukraine's new-music community through the Ukrainian Institute (2018–20) and the State Agency for Arts and Art Education (2020–22).
