Boris Loginov

Boris Loginov (b. October 27, 1990, Kyiv) is a Ukrainian composer, pianist and performer. He studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine under Levko Kolodub, at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw on a “Gaude Polonia” scholarship, and currently at the Freiburg Hochschule für Musik with Alexander Grebtschenko, with masterclass training under Jaime Reis, Stefan Prins, Annette Vande Gorne, Marcin Błażewicz, Michael Price and Alla Zahaykevych. He has worked across genres with ensembles and soloists including the Alter Ratio, Lux and Sed Contra ensembles, and his music has been heard at Kyiv Contemporary Music Days, the Ukrainian Contemporary Music Festival, Odesa Classics, Translationale Berlin, Jauna Muzika, the Gaudeamus Festival and Festival Mixtur. He took part in the “Weltoffenes Berlin” scholarship program (2022–23) and a 2024 residency at Dartmouth College through the Harris Program.

The Two

The Two is written for two wind instruments that are in dialogue with each other. The score of this dialogue connects two different music stands on which it stands. Two instruments breathe life into score, living the life of their images.

The Way
