To Samuel Beckett by Serhii Zazhytko is a musical/theatrical work in the classic Absurdist style for which the composer is known. The work, written for bass and mute speaker, enacts an homage of sorts to the works of Samuel Beckett. The composer ends the work with a quote from Beckett’s Molloy: “For when the two legs shorten at the same time, and at the same speed, then all is not lost, no.”
