Born in Lviv, IRYNA KIT began to study violin and piano at the age of 6 and, soon afterward, enrolled at the Lviv Special Music School. In 2005, Iryna’s family immigrated to New York, where she enrolled in the Special Music School for gifted children at the Kaufman Center, studying on a full scholarship with Mark Lakirovich. She was a member of the Young Artist Program at Kaufman Center along with attending LaGuardia High School as an Instrumental Major. In 2005 she became a Regina Rubinof Award winner at the Associated Music Teachers' League Violin Competition. In 2006 she appeared with the Kaufman Center Orchestra as a winner of the 11th Annual Kaufman Center Concerto Competition. She was the concertmistress of her school orchestra as well as a winner of the 2009 concerto competition, where as a winner she performed Khachaturian violin concerto with orchestra in March 2010.

A founding member of the EVI PianoTrio, she has premiered works by contemporary composers and standard repertoire.  She graduated with highest honors and has the honor to hold a Hadar Foundation scholarship. Iryna graduated from NYU as a double major in music performance and nursing. She continues to pursue her passion for healing the body and the mind by working in Mount Sinai Hospital as an RN and continuing to participate in numerous musical projects. Performing in Weill Recital Hall, MerkinConcert Hall, Ann Goodman Recital Hall, Black Box Theatre, Steinway Hall, and others. She loved to read, take long walks in nature and explore the world around her.
